About Us

Bowls Darfield is part of the Malvern Sub-Centre of Bowls Canterbury. Our players enjoy an 8-rink lawn green that is renown throughout the area for it's quality and consistency. We are proud of our club. Come and join us.

Bowls Darfield offer impressive facilities, spacious clubrooms and The Bowlers Arms (licensed bar) so whether it's a social roll up, a club day, tournament or social event, we know you'll enjoy!
With three great coaches available, Bowls Darfield has a variety of talent available to players. Talk to our coaches, find your best fit, then watch you game improve overnight!
Bowls Darfield are very privileged to have four nationally or internationally qualified umpires available to support us in both club and interclub competitions. Talk to our umpires about their services.

Committee

Our committee are the driving force behind Bowls Darfield. Their leadership ensures we make the most of our facilities (and that the "other stuff" is kept in line). There are other key personnel involved too; they contribute to making our events, club days and competitions the success that they are. We sincerely thank them all for their hard work and dedication to the sport we all love.

Colts
We all have to start somewhere - our most junior players are called "colts", meaning first or second year bowlers. Bowls Darfield offers this grade an annual competition for both Men and Ladies.
These are our players with one to five years of bowling experience. Bowls Darfield offers this grade a range of competitons, either Singles, Pairs, Triples or 4s; available to Men, Ladies or Mixed.
If you've been bowling for more than five years, this is your grade. Bowls Darfield offers this grade a range of competitons, either Singles, Pairs, Triples or 4s; available to Men, Ladies or Mixed.

Facilities For Hire

Our extensive club rooms are a great location for your next event. The venue is licenced for 99 people and with fully complimented kitchen facilities and a bar, it is available for members or sponsors to use for their next function. And why not have a game of bowls at the same time!!
